taboo

The book Tuesdays With Morrie is enlightening book. We humans are oblivious to what that would befall us sooner of later. DEATH. Since the ancient times till now Death is still a taboo. No matter how modern or civilized we are we are still a primitive species. We fear things we do not understand.Often we have the mentality of to keep our distance to people who suffered some misfortune or dying. That primitive mentality that if we are close to them we will be struck by the same misfortune. Maybe some of you do not agree, but along our way in going through the path of life we did impliedly or expressly did it. Going the other direction when you see a mad man walking by, afraid a beggar will be really near you at some point. We all did. The most disheartening thought is to those who treat AIDS patients the same way. I know someone who has HIV positive. He looked healthy to me and we still eat together at the same table. For God's sake it is not contagious through touching or eating together. People have this cruel perception just because it is not treatable. I mean there are still many diseases that are not treatable, they have medicine to supress it though. Same goes to HIV/AIDS...Someone told me they deserve it..What about the kids? Do they need to suffer from their previous generations mistake? Some people are ignorant and cruel...
