today is a quiet Friday for me. I'm not celebrating Merdeka at all. I was looking forward to fireworks yest nite at my bf's place. Fireworks? NADA!!!So disappoiting. I just can't feel the independence we said we achieved in 50 years. Yes, Ali, Muthu and Chan still live together "harmoniously". But Ali can get to local U wif just 3.0 GPA. Chan with 4.0 GPa was denied and Muthu was sent off to some ulu place for uni. Muthu married a Malay girl,divorced but cannot revert back his religion. Muthu later died and his body was not laid to rest properly.Maybe Muthu is still in the morgue awaiting burial?? Chan was successful in doing a pig farming business. It was at some rural places. not long later it was closed down because maybe some villagers wanna build a mosque nearby?? Or did they pollute the nearby river and blames it on Chan? What about Ali?Well Ali got a huge chunk of land at FELDA,maybe a holder of Class F contractor and "lends" his license and just wait for the percentage in profit. His kids might also get Petronas scholarships and study overseas. Maybe he is also running For MP and talks about woman all the time..and gets away for it.. Happy merdeka folks!! I am going to be 71 to see 100 years of independence. Will I still be alive? Will i still be in Malaysia? What would Malaysia be like? Of cause we gonna be modern, hell we are talking globalisation so technology and modernisation is bound to happen regardless how many years we are independent. i see cracks already in Malaysia. We will see who is going to fix the cracks and will it break? do you want to be the person who fixes the cracks,waits till it breaks or find another pot somewhere??
